Prof. Oluwadiya is the Chief Medical Director of the University of Sierra Leone Teaching Hospitals Complex (USLTHC), Freetown. A seasoned and accomplished Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, he brings over three decades of experience in surgery, academia, and leadership within the medical field. His expertise spans across orthopaedic trauma, back pain, osteomyelitis, and general surgery, reflecting a deep commitment to improving healthcare and advancing medical education.

Prof. Oluwadiya began his academic journey at Christ’s School, Ado-Ekiti, before obtaining his medical degree in 1989 from the prestigious College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He went on to complete his internship at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, and further honed his skills during his mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program at Wadata Clinic in Bida.

In 1994, Prof. Oluwadiya became a junior registrar in surgery at OAUTHC, where he achieved notable success, including winning the Oritsejolomi Thomas’ Prize for the best candidate nationwide in the Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria’s Part 1 Fellowship Examination in 1996. He completed his senior residency and fellowship training in orthopaedic surgery under renowned mentors.

Prof. Oluwadiya was conferred with the Fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons in 2001 and later served as Lecturer I at LAUTECH College of Health Sciences. He rose to become Professor of Surgery in 2010 and subsequently held major leadership roles including Dean and Provost positions in multiple institutions.

He contributed significantly to establishing medical training programs and hospitals, including EKSU and FUTA clinical faculties. He is also the author of the widely read medical statistics book Getting to Know SPSS. Beyond medicine, he enjoys football and was active in senior staff clubs at OAU.

As CMD of USLTHC, he oversees operations while strengthening care delivery, training, and research. He is married to Ronke, an academic and livestock farmer whose research and farming initiatives complement her professional career.
