The University of Sierra Leone Teaching Hospitals Complex (USLTHC) is the
nation’s flagship network of teaching hospitals, integrating key facilities
to deliver advanced healthcare, academic training, and research leadership
in Sierra Leone.
USLTHC was established on 21st March 2016 under the
Teaching Hospitals Complex Administration Act No. 8 of 2016
to unify key teaching hospitals, improve coordination, and enhance
healthcare, research, and education in Sierra Leone.

patient-centered healthcare while promoting excellence in education and
research. Vision: To be a world-class teaching hospital

USLTHC is governed by the Board of Administration chaired
by Dr. Sonia Spencer and led by Professor Kehinde
Oluwadiya, the Chief Medical Director, supported by senior
medical and administrative staff.

staff training, updated clinical protocols, and regular quality
