USLTHC Advances Residency Training as Departments Interview Prospective Residents
The University of Sierra Leone Teaching Hospitals Complex (USLTHC) has taken another significant step in strengthening specialist training and the development of Sierra Leone’s medical workforce.
Today, the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Kehinde Oluwadiya, together with Heads of Department from Community Health, Haematology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Psychiatry and Pediatrics, conducted interviews for doctors seeking admission into residency training programmes across the respective departments.
The exercise reflects the growing interest among medical doctors in pursuing specialist training at the USLTHC and underscores the Complex’s expanding role in developing the next generation of specialists in Sierra Leone.
From attracting aspiring residents to strengthening specialist capacity, the USLTHC continues to build on the gains made in residency training—investing in people, advancing expertise and ultimately strengthening quality healthcare delivery.
