LEADERSHIP TRANSITION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SIERRA LEONE TEACHING HOSPITALS COMPLEX
The University of Sierra Leone Teaching Hospitals Complex (USLTHC) today witnessed a significant leadership transition as Dr. Sonia Melisa Spencer, outgoing Chairperson of the Board of Administration, formally handed over leadership of the Board to Prof. Gibrilla Fadlu Deen, the incoming Chairperson.
The ceremony was well attended by members of the Board, Heads of Departments, Consultants, staff of the Complex, and members of the media, reflecting the importance of the occasion to the continued growth and development of the Teaching Hospitals Complex.
The transition marks another important chapter in the governance and institutional development of the USLTHC, as the Complex continues to strengthen its mandate in clinical care, medical education, specialist training, research and healthcare service delivery.
As Dr. Spencer concludes her tenure, the institution acknowledges her leadership and service to the Complex and wishes her continued success in her future endeavours.
The USLTHC warmly welcomes Prof. Gibrilla Fadlu Deen and looks forward to his leadership, vision and contribution towards advancing the strategic objectives of the Teaching Hospitals Complex.
